THANK YOU!

What an incredible Eating Disorder Awareness Week!
Huge thank you to everyone who got involved with our #SUPPORTNOTSTIGMAcampaign this week. With every like, comment, share and save we are able to reach more and more people who are looking for support with their mental health. (For support, visit www.firststepsed.co.uk)

Awareness weeks like these are so important in highlighting the issues, giving us an opportunity to have an open conversation about mental health and give people the confidence to reach out and start their journey to hope and recovery.
During these uncertain times, it is important that services are made available to those who need it. Since April 2020 (the first national lockdown) referrals for our services have gone up by 49%.

This week might be over, but our campaign to raise awareness and offer #SupportNotStigma never ends. Please continue to share and support our campaigns over on our social media channels, or make a donation today via our JustGiving page today and help us continue supporting those struggling with their mental health.

It was World Book Day this week!
On Thursday we were so excited to share a new children’s book highlighting the importance of healthy eating habits! The book, which is the latest in the Whoopsie Doodle Little Noodle series, was published earlier this week and you can access a free download right here!

We are so proud to support such an amazing project alongside the team of academics at University of Derby who have worked so hard in understanding and researching eating disorders.
A total of 5,000 copies of the book will be printed and distributed to primary schools across Derby and Derbyshire, with a grant awarded by Foundation Derbyshire from the Ashby Family Fund.

Check out our new website!

Like most of us over lockdown, we have been having a good old spring clean. Taking on board lots of feedback from our service users and stakeholders, we decided to give our website a fresh look!
You can now find everything you need from referrals and services, to our team and history. Go ahead, take a look!

Hello and welcome to all our new followers over on our Instagram page!
If you haven't already, please join us for weekly self care and service signposting! We love to share some daily positivity, both on our grid and in our stories, so if that sounds like something you'd like to see then come find and follow us!
